The first step consisting of a survey with the aim to collect responses on Painting companies skills’ needs was validated by the three partners companies of the project and launched among the network of Painting companies.
By analysing the Painting enterprises realities in different countries, the results of the survey brought to conclusions and recommendations on the skills needs within the Painting sector. Among the main findings we found at first place always the problem of lack of technical and soft skills in the employees followed by a very low number of people available to work and the not well preparation of first-job seekers.

To conclude the IO3 activities, current schemes, tools and good practices in the recognition of prior learning will be analyzed in 16 European countries in order to understand how to bring people from other sectors to the Painting one and also to dispose of a sectoral system of recognition of prior learning where individuals can demonstrate what they have learnt outside the formal education and training.
